Hello All,
Could anyone tell me if a multi boot consisting of XP-Pro on partition 1, Vista 32bit on Partition 2 and Vista 64bit on Partition 3 would work...? I have already installed Vista 32bit on Partition 2 and the multiboot works fine between Xp-Pro and Vista, but has anyone tried adding a second copy of Vista..?
On a slightly different note, I was having a problem getting Aero Glass to work on my GeForce 5200 128Mb, I have since found the problem, my widescreen monitor runs at 1440x900 resolution, if I drop this down to 1024x768 Glass works fine, but switches off back at 1440x900... Is this a Vista issue or an NVidia issue... ?
Thanks everyone (especially Andre & Zack) for all the useful help & advice.
Regards
Bri

Multiboot / Aero
Yes, I am running a multi boot configuration of Windows XP x86, x64, Server 2003 x86, x64, Vista x64 and Mac OS X and have no problems at all, so go ahead and pop Vista x64 onto that 3rd partition.
As for the AERO Glass issue at 1440 x 900, you have explained it yourself.
Appropriate graphics memory for specified monitor resolutions expressed as total pixels (x dimension multiplied by y dimension)
64 MB of graphics memory to support a single monitor at a resolution of 1280 by 1024 128 MB of graphics memory to support a single monitor at a resolution of 1920 by 1200 256 of graphics memory to support a single monitor at a resolutions higher than 2,304,000 pixels.
So you need to upgrade that video card if you want the desired resolution you are looking for. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta
